Singer-songwriter and poet Indy Yelich has always been a powerful storyteller. Growing up in the beachside suburb of Devonport, Auckland, she recalls losing interest in drama classes as a child because she was “always more interested in creating the storyline than being in someone else’s.” With strong creative independence, Indy later made the bold decision to leave New Zealand at 18 for Los Angeles and then New York where she would continue to forge her artistic path.
